Anita Briem hails from Iceland. Anita Briesm, a Icelandic performer, is best known for her portrayal of Jane Seymour (the young woman who will later be the spouse of Henry VIII) in the television show The Tudors. Also for the character of Hannah in the 2008 movie Journey to the Center of the Earth. Briem was just 9 years old when she started acting in Iceland's National Theater. She was a child actor in Iceland performing in the stage and on television. Briem moved from Iceland to London at 16 years old where he took part in the stage production Lenin's Love. Briem studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for three years, gaining the diploma of Drama. The actor was part of many productions during his time at RADA, such as The Cherry Garden directed by Anton Chekhov or Bernarda Alba's House by Federico Garcia Lorca.
